Frogs and toads are both associated with water and the moon, and therefore with fertility and the feminine realm. Both undergo the process of metamorphosis, from tadpole to frog, and so are symbolic of ressurection. The frog was an emblem of Aphrodite, and Heket, Egyptian goddess of birth, took the form of a frog.
This top quality boro lampwork focal pendant features a glittering dichroic image backed with onyx black borosilicate glass, encased within a Pyrex magnifier lens. Lens measures approx. 20mm in diameter with a sturdy bail loop on top. The pendant is one inch long. Kiln annealed for added strength.
