We specialize in airtight hand blown vessels, using a traditional cork-stopper design. The opening of each jar is carefully crafted to create a hermetic seal with fitted cork included. Made with durable PYREX and kiln-annealed for added strength.
You can be sure the handblown jar shown in each item description is exactly what you will receive. No two jars will ever be the same so we always take time to photograph each one-of-a-kind piece.
Artist-direct bouns: in addition to our pre-made jars we also offer the unique opportunity to help design your own custom jar *made-to-order just for you! These make great personalized gifts for someone special.
We are occasionally asked; "what are they for"? Well... throughout history ornate glass jars have been used to hold just about anything that can fit inside. It's never too difficult to find a good use for these beautiful containers.
The airtight seal is excellent for keeping herbs & spices fresh. Our fully-worked nug jars are a great place to stash just about any kind of small items / personal treasures. Without the cork they make a great paper-clip holder or pen & pencil holder in your office. The tube jars are perfect for beads, cotton swabs, toothpicks, etc. The possibilities are virtually unlimited.
